Areet everyone. This is the home of SpritesnBytes gamers blog. I was thinking of doing videos in blog format but I can never be arsed to do it so I thought… Fuck it! I shall do it in writing form. This also helps to keep my English at a somewhat decent level by constantly typing and making sure my spelling stays up to code. One thing I will say is that being from Newcastle upon Tyne, I may end up putting certain words in here like “areet” and “weyaye” etc. Don’t worry if you don’t understand them because they’re not something that will confuse you too much.

I will be talking about gaming and anything affiliated to gaming like anime, comics and music etc. I also do speak about gaming and the such on YouTube. If you have any interest go check it out by clicking HERE!

A little bit about my gaming history:

When I were a little shit I was always introduced to some kind of electronic hardware ranging from the ZX81 Spectrum, Amiga 500/1200, Sega Megadrive complete with the Master System Converter and The Sega Game Gear (which I borrowed from a guy who use to work as a porter in the block of flats where I lived. On a related note, he looked like the Proclaimers (twin musicians) and was scared shitless of the Daleks from Doctor Who (still is to this day also).

Some of the earlier games I played were amongst some of the finest ones ever made:
Blood Money, Shoot Em Up Construction Kit, Escape From The Planet of the Robot Monsters, Shadow Fighter, Body Blows, Chuckie Egg, Bubble Bobble, Rodlands, Flash Back, Sonic the Hedgehog, Castle of Illusion etc. 

I still own the Amiga 1200. I also recently bought back a Sega Megadrive and a Sega Game Gear but sadly I do not own the ZX81. Thankfully though I do own a shit load more hardware systems and software as I’ve been looking into getting all the titles I wanted as a child but couldn’t afford to get. When it comes to games I was always a fan of fighting games and platform titles and never really understood other titles that well. Thankfully with age, I have grown more and more prone to the understanding of different genres. With that I hope you enjoy the upcoming ramblings from myself.
